Overview
Leading the quantum frontier – Q*BIRD at the NATO Summit!
As part of the recent invitation-only “Securing the Future – Innovation for Resilience” event held alongside the NATO Summit and hosted by the Municipality of The Hague and the Province of Zuid-Holland, Q*BIRD joined other innovators and government and defense leaders to discuss critical security needs in the quantum age.
Together with the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Justitiële ICT Organisatie, Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid (Ministry of Justice & Security), Stichting RINIS, Quantum Delta NL and the European initiative EuroQCI, we have successfully delivered a live, operational Measurement-Device-Independent Quantum Key Distribution (MDI QKD) network connecting Dutch government institutions within a test environment. Such a network facilitates a secure backbone for quantum threat-resistant communication.
In an era of increasing cyber threats, quantum-secure communication is essential to safeguard both national and international security, and the Netherlands is ready to lead in making this a European reality.
This deployment confirms Q*BIRD’s role as a trusted, NATO-aligned technology partner in quantum-secure communications with our QKD Falqon® Series.
As threats to digital infrastructure evolve, Q*BIRD remains committed to enabling Europe’s quantum-secure future with scalable, secure QKD systems ready for deployment.
We are proud to support the mission of EuroQCI and the broader push for secure digital sovereignty across Europe as part of the QCINed project.
The future of secure quantum communication is already here, and Q*BIRD is ready to lead the way!
