From Delft to deployment: Quantum security in action!
At the Delft Quantum Showcase that took place on the 12th of May 2025, Q*BIRD joined the kickoff of Quantum Meets ’25 by spotlighting how our Falqon® Series is solving one of today’s biggest tech challenges, securing communication in the quantum world!
As quantum computing accelerates, so does the risk to critical digital infrastructure. Classical encryption won’t hold up against quantum attacks and that’s where our MDI Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) solution, the Falqon® Series, comes in. At booth #22, we were pleased to welcome Regional Minister, Meindert Stolk, who stopped by to hear about Q*BIRD’s advancements in quantum-secure network communication, including our deployment at the Port of Rotterdam, one of Europe’s most vital logistics hubs!
A key moment of the afternoon was our CEO & Co-Founder, Ingrid Romijn, joining a panel discussion on building a quantum-secure digital future. She was joined by Adriaan Rol – Orange Quantum Systems, Matthijs Rijlaarsdam – QuantWare and Niels Bultink – Qblox for an engaging conversation on the Delft quantum ecosystem. Ingrid’s message was clear, quantum-secure communication isn’t years away and it’s happening now, in the heart of Delft!
